Clipboard: copy, paste and recover sync
Use the clipboard to copy text between your computer and a Windows remote desktop. If automatic transfer fails, use the toolbar to transfer text manually or repair the instance's clipboard.

Paste from your computer into Windows
Copy text locally, click the remote desktop in the target RDP tab and press Ctrl+V, or Command+V on Mac with the default mapping. A direct paste gesture can transfer text even when automatic clipboard reading is unavailable. Each independent tab sends only to its own current desktop and does not join Sync control. Plain text up to 1 MiB is supported. Remote right-click paste relies on prior synchronization; allow clipboard access in site permissions for automatic transfer.
Transfer text through the toolbar
Open the toolbar and click its Clipboard area to reveal the contents. Paste local text there, then paste inside Windows. For the reverse direction, copy in Windows, then select and copy text from this area locally. The area is intentionally hidden until clicked.
Paste into several desktops in Sync control
Sync control uses independent clipboards: Ctrl/⌘+C and V copy and paste each desktop’s own content. To transfer local text, choose Paste from computer and select Master and all followers or Master only. Live sync defaults to all; paused and recording sessions target only the master. Cached offline followers receive all-scope transfers on replay. If clipboard access is blocked, paste into the expanded Clipboard text box and choose Send and paste, using the same scope.
Copy text from the master to your computer
Text copied on the Windows master appears in the workspace’s Clipboard field. Choose Copy to computer, or select and copy the text manually, to update your local clipboard. The workspace does not automatically write remote text to your computer or replace desktop clipboards on click or focus. Plain text is supported, not files. Independent RDP tabs retain their existing clipboard behavior.
Decide whether Windows clipboard repair is needed
If manual transfer works, focus on browser access and automatic sync. If it also fails, use Manage → Repair RDP Clipboard on that instance. Keep Windows signed in. Repair requires a reachable management agent and restarts the instance's clipboard process; copy the text again afterward.
